Miss Sauvey was one of the best pure shooters to ever graduate from Danbury High School.
Miss Sauv ey had one of the highest shooting percentages in Laker History. Her place in the Laker history book, well represents her outstanding shooting touch. They include:
#1 Season Free Throw Percentage (.895 in 1985); #1 Season Field Goal Percentage (.732 in 1983); #3 Career Free Throw Percentage (.679); #4 Career Field Goal Percentage (.493); #7 Season Scoring Average (22.48 in 1986) and #8 Career Scoring Leaders (1030).
Perhaps most impressive was Miss Sauvey's season free throw shooting percentage record of 89.5%.
Miss Sauvey was offered a Division I scholarship to New York University.
