(Toledo) - Danbury clinched the Toledo Area Athletic Conference championship outright with a hard fought win at Ottawa Hills

The Lakers opened strong, but clung to a two point lead after one half. Ottawa Hills defensive changes gave Danbury some problems in the third quarter, however the Lakers still led by three entering the final quarter of play. Ottawa Hills never regained the lead during the final quarter.

Kim Zura led the Lakers with 15 points. Danielle Twarek, Sarah Kovach, Megan Twarek, Brittany Bird, Char Turinsky and Laura Heishman rounded out the Danbury scoring column. .

Danbury enters Sectional Tournament play at Tiffin Columbian next Saturday.
